Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue

 

 THERE IS NO PRE-REQUISITE FOR THIS UNIT

 

   

Training starts with basic tree climbing and aerial rescue.

Once the candidates are comfortable with basic tree climbing techniques, they then move on to aerial rescue.

There are four main rescues to be carried out.

	Rescue one: Rescue casualty with undamaged rope The rescuer uses both his and the casualties climbing system to descend on.
	Rescue two: Rescue casualty were the casualties climbing system is unusable Casualty is brought to the ground on rescuers system only.
	Rescue three  Rescue casualty were the casualties climbing system is unusable  Casualty is brought to the ground on rescuers system and belay system
	Rescue Four Rescue casualty from a pole using climbing irons
